Please include as much detail as possible including the policy number and details of the damage.
Due to anticipated high claim volumes, claim ID numbers and contacts will be provided as soon as possible.

Emergency & Make Safe Assistance
If urgent action is required to mitigate losses, the insured should:
✅ Take photos of the damage and document actions taken.
✅ Act to prevent further loss where reasonable.
✅ Submit details for insurer review at the earliest opportunity.
We can assist in organising make safe services on a Without Prejudice basis, pending policy review. Please note that if the claim is not covered, the insured will be responsible for any incurred costs.

Now, with portfolios in SME Property, Complex Property, High Hazard Property and Liability, Xenon has established itself as a viable, competitive alternative to institutional underwriters within the Australasian market.
Peter Stone
Managing Director
Peter brings 30+ years of experience in the general insurance market as an Underwriter and senior leader. He is well-versed in the corporate and commercial insurance landscape, specialising in high-risk, high-value property insurance with a strong emphasis on quality underwriting and effective risk selection practices. Peter is committed to fostering genuine relationships with brokers, ensuring that they receive the personalised service and expertise they expect. Peter is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF and holds Tier 1 ASIC RG146 accreditation, underscoring his commitment to professional development and excellence in the insurance industry.

Sonya Barwick
Senior Underwriter
Sonya has over 35 years of underwriting experience, specialising in high-risk and high-value liability risks. She is Tier 1 qualified and a Senior Associate of ANZIIF. Since January 2024, Sonya has been a Senior Liability Underwriter at Xenon Underwriting, where she’s charged with establishing and growing the Liability portfolio. She excels at building strong relationships with London Underwriters, brokers and third-party claims agents alike. Dedicated to excellence in the insurance sector, Sonya is committed to providing exceptional service and fostering strong partnerships within the industry.

Anne Stone
Administration Manager
Anne brings over 20 years of experience in small business administration, specialising in exceptional customer service with a focus on quality and timely outcomes. She is a capable, team-oriented administrator and customer service specialist known for her confident communication skills. Anne is dedicated to maintaining process and procedural adherence to ensure accuracy, workplace efficiency and regulatory compliance. As an inclusive collaborator, she champions people and cultural excellence to achieve organisational goals and high levels of staff and customer satisfaction.

Jacob Power
Assistant Underwriter
Jacob is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business at Queensland University of Technology, majoring in Finance and Economics. New to the underwriting field, he is excited about building his career as an Underwriter. He is highly capable in a range of IT systems, particularly skilled in MS Excel. Before joining Xenon as an Assistant Underwriter, he gained valuable experience in retail and logistics roles while studying. He has recently completed his Tier 2 accreditation and the General Insurance Code of Practice, further solidifying his commitment to the insurance industry.

Peter Muir
Underwriting Manager
Peter has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in Commercial and Corporate Liability underwriting. He holds Tier 1 accreditation and is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF. Since joining Xenon in July 2021, Peter has concentrated on building and expanding the Liability portfolio. Before his tenure at Xenon, he held senior leadership roles with one of Australia’s leading insurance companies, where he managed the Queensland Casualty portfolio. Committed to excellence in the insurance sector, Peter is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and fostering strong partnerships within the industry.

Linda Dembskey
Senior Underwriter
Linda brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong background in Corporate and Commercial underwriting. She is an Associate of ANZIIF, a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and holds Tier 1 ASIC RG146 accreditation. Linda is a dedicated underwriting professional who previously worked as a Liability Underwriter with one of Australia’s leading insurance companies for 8 years, where she developed an excellent reputation among brokers and built strong client relationships.

Diana Parantainen
Administration Assistant
Diana brings over 30 years of experience in corporate and retail banking, having worked in leadership positions that require exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement. At Xenon, Diana oversees a broad range of responsibilities, from accounts management to bank reconciliations and end-of-month processing. Her depth of experience and attention to detail ensure that operations run smoothly, contributing significantly to the overall efficiency of the team.

Kyle Wollstein
Assistant Underwriter
Prior to joining Xenon, Kyle spent three years in a hospitality management position, where he led a small team and honed his expertise in customer service. An energetic individual with a big personality, Kyle excels at fostering relationships and promoting collaborative teamwork. Eager to build a career in insurance, he recently completed his Tier 2 accreditation and General Insurance Code of Practice. Kyle is looking to start his Diploma of Insurance in the coming months. He’s committed to exceptional service and quality work.

Claims
All claims are managed by our authorised third-party claims providers to ensure efficient and expert handling.
Your insurance broker is your primary point of contact for advice and assistance during the claims process. All claims should be reported your broker in the first instance. From there, your broker will notify Xenon Underwriting, where we will confirm policy coverage and forward the claim to our independent specialist claims manager.
